The ‘Committee for Animal Care’ (hereinafter OpBA), established by Resolution No. 213 of the Academic Senate of the ‘G. D'Annunzio’ University of Chieti - Pescara of 17/06/2014, acts in compliance with Art. 25 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 26 of 04/03/2014, in accordance with European Directive No. 63 of 22/09/2010 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes (Italian Legislative Decree No. 26 of 04/03/2014). It consists of 4 members appointed by the Rector.
OpBA performs the tasks in accordance with Art. 26 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 26/2014 and it has Internal Rules of operation.
