Course of Study in Cultural Heritage (L-1).The Study Program trains qualified professionals to work in the field of knowledge, enhancement and management of Cultural Heritage, from Ancient Times to the Contemporary Age, in an extremely wide geographical area. The course is divided into an archaeological itinerary and in a historical-artistic itinerary.The training includes theoretical and technical lessons, combined with practical activities such as excavations in Italy and abroad and inspections of monuments and of museums. A wide range of laboratories, seminars and internships are planned in cooperation with institutions responsible for the protection of public, private or mixed management, active in the search for the protection and enhancement of Cultural Heritage. During the three-year course students will acquire a basic humanistic education (through courses in historical, literary, linguistic, anthropological, geographical and philosophical subjects) and a solid knowledge related to Archeology, History of Art and legislation of Cultural Heritage. The acquisition of skills in foreign languages and applied computer science is also envisaged. Graduates will be able to find employment, at various levels, in public institutions and private companies active in the field of study, protection, conservation and use of Archaeological and Historical-Artistic Assets. They will also be able to organize and manage events related to the enhancement and protection of Cultural Heritage and may find employment in Tourism or in specialized publishing sectors.
