The degree course in Speech Therapy is aimed at training health professionals assigned at the prevention, evaluation and treatment of deglutition, communication and speaking disorders at all ages, in accordance with the Ministerial Decree n. 742 of the Health Ministry dated 14th September 1994. Speech therapists find occupation in public bodies and accredited private facilities, including in the freelance area.The teachings that the graduates will acquire, will make up their cultural, scientific and relational knowledge required to acquire full professional skills and to evaluate, undertake and manage pathologies that require speech therapy at all ages. These skills will be acquired through class lessons, laboratory exercises, practical lessons in equipped classrooms under the supervision of teachers and tutors, and through self-study of the (library, data banks) of the subjects offered by the course of study (CdS).In addition to traditional didactic activities, guided internships in public health specialist service bodies and other facilities of scientific value and for the achievement of training objectives. The learning abilities and the knowledge acquired at the end of the course allows graduates to continue their studies through the master’s degree courses in Class LM/SNT2, post-graduate advanced scientific courses and high permanent and recurrent training courses (1st and 2nd level masters, specialization courses), retraining and enhancement courses (Lifelong Education in Medicine), with an elevated level of autonomy.
