The three years bachelor course in Business Law (Se.Gi.) was launched by the Faculty of Economics in 2002/2003. The course Se.Gi. aims to develop students’ abilities as jurist and legal advisor by providing basic knowledge to approach both legal and economic domains. The course programme is designed to be useful to those wishing to professionally work in the fields of law, government and public sector, private sector, in the third sector or engage in further studies in the areas of law and economics The course learning objectives consist in providing a cultural base and legal knowledge; theoretical and applicative knowledge of national, European and international regulatory systems; adequate skills in micro and macro economics with special reference to the structure and the market mechanisms; adequate regulatory and economic-business skills regarding the organization and management of public and private companies as well as the public administrations and the solution of related issues; adequate knowledge of computer science and of at least one EU language. The ability to pratically apply the acquired theoretical concepts will be verified through mandatory internships programs undertaken at institutions, companies and professional offices. Moreover, the course program intends to train qualified personnel available to work both in companies, public administrations, banks, insurance companies, financial intermediation and in the third sector, trade unions and business organizations, in the administrative, financial, tax, human resource management and trade union relations sectors. Ultimately, the course provides the necessary training for applying to master degrees both in Legal Science for internationalisation and business innovation and Economics.
