The teaching of Economic and Social Policy adheres to the professional profile of the Degree Course, presenting a thematic articulation of its topics aimed at the acquisition of specific knowledge within the Social Service, such as to provide the Student with disciplinary knowledge on the models, the theories and tools of Social Service and a critical and scientific vision of social change, in relation to the different Welfare policies implemented in response to the new problems and needs emerging from contemporary society.
Expected learning outcomes:
Knowledge and understanding - The student will achieve a professional knowledge of sociology, methodology and culture of social service and welfare system, applying this knowledge in the theoretical and operational dimension of welfare and in the implementation of interventions and services in the social field.
Autonomy of judgment - On the topics of the course, the student will have to acquire adequate communication methods and competences for the acquisition and transmission of social knowledge related to policies and intervention tools in the personal services system.
Communication skills - The communication skills will be acquired by the student using a terminology and a disciplinary and scientific language to represent the skills and knowledge learned during the lessons
Learning skills - The program foresees to be able to provide the student with a capacity for analysis and additional self-learning skills, in order to build his own personal vision of the discipline, also making it able to study independently in achieving knowledge of the subjects subject to learning.
