Objectives

The course aims to explain the main concepts of financial markets and institutions, with particular reference to the banks and investment firms, banking contracts, financial intermediation and payment services.

Contents

The course is divided into two parts, the first dedicated to the banking law and the second concerning the financial market law and payment services.

Extended Syllabus

Module I) The legislative sources of banking and financial law. Banks and their activity. The discipline of banking transparency. Bank current account. Bank deposit. The opening of credit. Bank advance. Bank discount. Banking services.
Module II) Investment firms and their activity. Financial instruments. Investment services rules. Financial markets. Payment services. ATM service. Credit cards. Digital money. Online banking.
