The course aims to illustrate the fundamentals of recovery of intra-operative blood and the production of blood components for topical use; the international "new approach" of the PBM program is also explored. The BPC will be treated in the neonatal patient and the pediatric patient. The methods of BCP will be investigated in particular contexts different from cardiac surgery.

The course will consist of lectures with interactive activities.
The final exam consists of an oral test. At the end of the course the student must prove that he / she has mastered the topics and the program carried out. The final verification can be supported in one of the appeals present in the calendar. The oral exam focuses on topics in which the student can demonstrate: - a sufficient but incomplete basic knowledge (vote 18-22 / 30), - a discreet knowledge with the ability to clearly illustrate the topics (23-25 / 30), - good ability to illustrate topics with properties of language and mastery of the subject (26-28 / 30), - excellent knowledge of the subject moving with ease from one topic to another contextualizing any interconnections and / or differences (28-30 / 30). Praise is reserved for those who also show particular interest and knowledge of the functional aspects of the professionalizing sector, with high communication skills and independent learning.
