Objectives

The course contributes to the achievement of the educational objective of Health Assistance degree of training professionals able to know the principles of national and regional health organization and planning.
At the end of the theaching lessons ,the student must know:
- the organization of the health administration;
- the structures of the National Health Service
- the Organization and functioning of the Local Health Authority, the Hospital Company, IRCCS, accredited and non-accredited private structures.
- the main health regulations
- health planning tools: the national and regional health plan, local implementation plans.

Contents

The course aims to provide concepts on the operational structures of the National Health Service, of the Local Health Authorities
and health planning.

Legislative evolution of health law: Legislative evolution and health organization in Italy, Hospital reform of 1968, Law no. 833 of 23.12.1978, D. Lgs. n. 502 of 30.12.1992, D. Lgs. n. 229 of 19.6.1999,
• Health administration: Ministry of Health, ministerial organization, CSS, ISS, AIFA, CCM, Age.nas, peripheral bodies of the Ministry of Health;
• National Health Service: Institution, objectives and organization;
• Planning and planning of the National Health Service: National Health Plan, Regional Health Plan, Local Implementation Plan;
• Structures of the national health service: Organization and functioning of the Local Health Authority, Organization and functioning of the hospital, IRCCS, accredited and non-accredited private structures;
• Services of the National Health Service: Essential Levels of Assistance (LEA),
• Concepts of accreditation and authorization.
• Healthcare financing systems, Diagnosis Related Group (DRG).

Teaching Methods

The teaching is structured in frontal lessons of 2 hours based on the didactic calendar. The lessons include a strong interactive component between lecturer and students.
Attendance is mandatory.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

Oral exam: the student will have to demonstrate his / her preparation by dealing in a clear and organized manner with the topics requested by the teacher.
Evaluation will be carried out by using marks out of thirtieths
