Learning Objectives:
The learning objectives of the undergraduate programme in “Lettere” include independent language skills in a language spoken in the EU. Students are expected to understand the main points of a simple discourse on familiar topics; to understand written texts on everyday life and work; to communicate in a sufficiently spontaneous and natural way on simple topics (e.g., describing a place, a person, a picture; exchanging information; talking about o oneself, etc.) and interact in everyday life situations; to produce simple texts on well-known topics.
Abilities:
Students are expected to possess CEFR B1 (“Threshold”) competences in English.
Self-assessment:
Students are expected to possess language skills so as to express themselves clearly and correctly in English.
Communicative skills:
Students will be expected to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc; to produce simple, connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest; to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
