Objectives

Through the reading of the texts and the lessons, the aim is to offer students the opportunity to know the basics of psychoanalytic thought, in relation to the main personalities who have worked in this field, as well as to facilitate the acquisition of a specific psychoanalytic language.

Contents

The course aims to provide students with a basic knowledge of Freud's and other main psychoanalysts' thinking, with specific attention to the contribution of Ferenczi, Jung, A. Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Bion, Kohut and others. It will then refer to the birth of psychoanalysis in Italy and its subsequent developments in other countries. In particular, the main theoretical-clinical models of psychoanalysis, as well as some key concepts concerning psychic dynamics and the psychotherapeutic setting, will be explored.

- The birth and development of psychoanalysis in Italy (E. Weiss, N. Perrotti, E. Gaddini, et al.)
- Further developments of Psychoanalysis (Psychoanalysis in France, in America, intersubjectivism, and so on).
