The teaching contributes to the realization of the training objective of the Nursing Studies Course to train nurses with the capacity to manage prevention interventions with autonomy and responsibility.
RESULTS OF EXPECTED LEARNING
Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- know the determinants of health, risk factors, prevention strategies
both individual and collective, and interventions aimed at promoting the safety of health workers and users, in all of health areas.
Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- Know how to undertake adequate preventive and protective actions against diseases, maintaining and promoting the health of the individual of the family and the community.
- Know how to identify the prevalent health problems and advise patients by taking into consideration physical, mental, social and cultural factors.
Making Judgments
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- be able to evaluate prevention strategies.
Communication skills
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- know how to use the teaching and learning principles for specific information or educational interventions aimed at individual users, families and groups for the promotion of health behavior and the reduction of risk factors
