Objectives

The educational objective aims at:
identifying the needs for physical, mental and social help of people at various ages of life and for the health and nursing needs of the person and the community and formulating the relative assistance plans;
to be able to apply nursing assessment and diagnostic-therapeutic prescriptions;
to plan the main interventions related to clinical / care conditions through the application of nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems;
to indicate the evaluation criteria of the result of the assistance provided.
The student will develop the ability to relate to the person being cared for and to his / her family members, modulating his / her language based on the interlocutor's comprehension skills.

Contents

The professionalizing internship of the 2nd year students is designed both to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired in the first year and in the laboratory activity, as well as to know how to apply the assistance process related to the promotion and maintenance of health, taking into account the treatment plan of the person suffering from pathologies of a specialist type.
The internship is aimed at clinical knowledge and preventive and assistance interventions, aimed at tackling the priority health problems in specialized medical, surgical and maternal and oncological areas and aimed at the acute phase of the disease and educational and psycho-social support in the chronic phase. More simulation experiences are foreseen in nursing laboratories and internships in contexts in which the student can experience the knowledge and techniques learned.

Extended Syllabus

2nd year students must be able to plan, organize, plan, intervene and evaluate assistance in the following types of users:
- Nursing to the person with cardiovascular problems
- Nursing to the person with nephrological problems
- Nursing to the person subjected to packaging of an intestinal and urinary stoma,
- Nursing to the person subjected to cardiac, abdominal and thoracic surgery;
- Nursing to the person with oncological problems
- Nursing to the person with respiratory problems
- Nursing to the person in neonatal and infantile age
- Nursing to pregnant women, during childbirth, in the puerperium and with gynecological changes

Teaching Methods

The internship experience is carried out in operating units and hospital services. Students are supervised by nursing staff and supervised by nursing coordinators. The training hours to be completed for the third year are 760.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

Examination consisting of an oral test that focuses on the display of care plans according to clinical cases and on the practical application of technical procedures on dummy. The overall evaluation takes into account the degree of achievement of the specific objectives for each U.O. or service attended during the training period.
The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths according to the following indicators and descriptors
