Knowledgement of the structure and function of the human placenta.
The student will be aware of the different stages of brain development and possible brain malformations of the fetus.
Human placenta.
Brain development from conception to birth.
-Placenta structure, -Placenta vascularization, -Placenta physiological functions, -Amnios and umbilical cord, -Amniotic fluid.
Slides used during the lessons and bibliographic material available online.

Multiple choices tests.
Group projects and final report.
The attendance compulsion is 70%. Students will be received by the teacher every Wednesday from 9 am to 11 am and upon appointment which has to be agreed via e-mail to the address raffaella.franciotti@unich.it.
