LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Healthcare Management teaching aims at the achievement of the learning objective of Nursing Course and it has to be able to:
Provide the student with notions of a scientific and clinical nature in order to improve the welfare aspect through scientific research and EBP.
Knowledge and understanding skills
Understand the role of nurse in the area of medical research,more specifically of the one related to nursing, and the methods to carry out a research and/or analyse it critically.
Making judgements Identification of needs in the nursing research field and development of critical evaluating ability of scientific literature.Be able to employ research outcomes for the clinical decision-making in care practice. Communication skills Be able to submit a protocol and/or the outcomes of a research Learning skills Development of a critical sense and of self-learning ability starting from the biomedical information.

Nursing teaching contributes to the accomplishment of the following learning outcomes:
■ Regarding knowledge and understanding skills:
-Acquire the appropriate knowledge (to the extent of their competence), the ability to understand topics concerning the identification of the needs-issues of the patient and make the first real nursing diagnoses.
-Understand in accordance with the professional profile the role of nurse in the area of medical research,more specifically of the one related to nursing, and the methods to carry out a research and/or analyze it critically, interpret the results and link the processes for the development of the nursing studies.
■ Regarding applying and understanding:
The student has to acquire the ability of translating in professional practices the obtained knowledge.Particularly he/she has to be able to:
-Use the body of theoretical knowledge from other studies useful to the recognition of health and assistance needs of healthy and ill men.
-Supplement the knowledge in order to be able to guarantee a nursing assistance suitable to the levels of necessity and based on scientific evidence
-Solve by recurring to rational procedures possible cases and problems that may rise while carrying out the duties of the role played
-Evaluate critically the results of welfare decisions taken on the basis of patient outcome and welfare standards;
-Write a research protocol; identification of the different parts of a scientific journal; interpretation of the outcomes.
■ Regarding Making judgments:
- Identification of needs in nursing research field and development of critical evaluating ability of scientific literature.
-Be able to employ research outcomes for the clinical decision-making in care practice explaining them on the basis of clinical judgement and available resources.
■ Regarding Communication skills:
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with users and during interactions with other professionals.
-Measure the health state of a patient and monitor the processes of adaptation to the new state of health/disease.
-Plan nursing interventions intended to fulfil the needs
-Provide through awareness and responsibility nursing care suitable to patient’s conditions.
-Provide through awareness and responsibility a nursing care appropriate and respectful of rights of the patient, of his ethical and deontological values and in accordance with the rules in force within professional and clinical field.
-Outline the work done during training period.
Regarding learning skills:
The student through methodological criterion that the study of methodological research provides with will develop skills in:
-Planning, arranging and developing his own actions by responding to the continuous changes of knowledge and healthcare needs of men.
-Demonstrating to be able to look for information necessary to solve problems related to care activities.
-Investigating further into the logic of nursing process, as a clinical method that nurses take up in order to help people in facing and managing care issues
