Objectives

Occupational Medicine is a unit of the Integrated Course of Social Sciences, Work and Health Management. The course unit aims to introduce students to the current legislation that protects health in the workplace, the occupational hazards and the prevention of occupational diseases in the healthcare environment.

Contents

Current laws on the protection of health and safety in the workplace; description of the main occupational diseases and their prevention; occupational risks and risk assessment in the healthcare environment, environmental and biological monitoring, main personal and collective protection devices.

Occupational medicine, legislative decree n. 81/2008, role of the company doctor, Risk assessment and prevention, environmental and biological monitoring, toxicology, occupational and work-related pathologies, INAIL, MALPROF system, Health surveillance, chemical and biological risk in the health environment
