The course will introduce students to the study of the basic concepts and methodologies of general psychology defined as scientific study of the mind and behavior At the end of the course students should be able to: - elaborate and integrate knowledge into the workings of the mind and behavior. - communicate in a clear and unambiguous way the acquired knowledge about basic mechanisms of human mind and behavior - deepen topics of interest in their own way
Basic elements of General Psychology
Historical introduction to the science of mind and behavior. Basic psychological functions: sensation and perception; attention and consciousness; learning and memory.
