Objectives

At the end of the course the students will be able to:
- to tackle and resolve the most important and recurring problems related to the management of subsidized loans to companies;
- choose the type of subsidized loan most suited to the company, both within the European Structural and Investment Funds and the National and Regional Funds;
- prepare a request for subsidized financing;
- prepare a business plan;
The skills acquired by the students can be used both in the field of freelance, particularly in that of chartered accountant, both in the field of business, particularly in the area of financial resources, both in the field of public administration, in particular in the offices of the Bodies and Institutions (European, National, Regional and Local) that deal with facilitated finance.

Contents

The course, in general, aims to examine the main aspects management of subsidized loans to companies. In particular, intends to provide the student be an overall teroic picture, that an application methodology, in order to be able to know and tackle the most important and riccorrente issues related to the management of subsidized loans to companies.

- The financial statements in the financial information perspective;

- The Community budget as a source of subsidized loans to companies;
- European funding;
- The state aid system;
- National, regional and local subsidized loans;
- The system of assessments of subsidized loans to companies;
- Subsidized loans and business projects: the role of the business plan
- Theoretical-practical elements for drafting the business plan:
1) General drafting principles;
2) Company description and its history;
3) Analysis of the reference market of the entrepreneurial initiative and marketing plan;
4) The planned investment plan and the sources-employment ratio;
5) The forecast and cash flow statement;
6) Overall assessment of the business project;
- Corporate case studies.

Teaching Methods

The Teaching is structured in 48 hours of frontal teaching, divided into 2 hours lessons according to the academic calendar. The frontal teaching consists of theoretical lessons and seminars held by both the teacher and experts in the field of facilitated loans to businesses (accountants, officials and executives of public bodies and institutions, managers of private companies).
Partial checks during the course are not foreseen.
Attendance is optional, but strongly recommended, and the final exam, in oral form, will be the same for attending and non-attending students.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The verification of the preparation of students, both attending and not, will take place exclusively with an oral exam consisting of open questions with open response space. The vote is expressed in points 1 to 30.
The topics under examination will reflect those dealt with during the teaching and present in the program, designed to bring students to reflect on the problems of the management of subsidized loans to companies.
The oral examination, in addition to verifying the knowledge and understanding of the topics covered, aims to verify the skills mentioned above (see Expected learning outcomes): the questions, in fact, include descriptive but also critical elements. Necessary to pass the exam is a correct use of the terminology and a clear and concise oral presentation that explains the logical connections between the aspects considered.
