Educational objectives

Deepen the knowledge related to the organization of men and vehicles in order to safely carry out a building work required in a predetermined time.
The course aims to offer the basic knowledge necessary for the design, installation and management of a construction site, addressing the problems inherent in the various phases of organization starting from the executive design developed according to work plans as a prefiguration and obligatory passage from the "plausible site" to "Real construction site". The integrated course "Organization and Safety in Construction Sites" also aims to provide knowledge on the historical evolution of the construction site and deepen the problems related to the management of a construction site in safety through the analysis of the different procedural steps that contribute to a work, the skills of the subjects involved in the construction activity, the verification of the necessary human and material resources, the organization of safety and the prevention of accidents seen as a fundamental component of the building process, starting from design, through production, up to to the management of the works. The technological evolution of the yard and the regulatory framework have also taken on European standards in our country, recently focusing on the request for tests on the quality and characteristics of the products used for construction. All subjects operating on construction sites (including construction managers, designers, testers and companies) need a quick and agile update to make correct choices in this particular context. The ambition of the course is to respond to the widespread demand for technological innovation in production that requires professionals able to compete with an increasingly demanding building market that is highly integrated with the specific needs of construction companies. Develop a professional figure able to act with competence in managing the complexity of the building production process, correlating the technical, construction and procedural aspects connected and aimed at the realization of the building. At the end of the course the students will have acquired a working methodology that will initiate them to critically use all the topics related to the subject and will help them to face the complex problems of professional work.

COURSE CONTENT:

The organization
Aims of the course, introduction to the theory of organizations. The definition of objectives, control of results, efficiency and effectiveness, corrective actions.

The construction site of building works
Historical notes, technological and organizational aspects.

The management of the construction site
The roles involved in the realization of a work: tasks, obligations, civil and criminal responsibilities. The sanctioning discipline and inspection procedures.
The executive project
Structure of the technological system according to UNI 8290; acquisition and structuring of project data, study of the project and analysis of the context, disarticulation of the intervention into work elements and construction phases.

Work planning
The work schedule (macro and micro phases of work) and the safe organization of the construction site. Work and construction planning, study of manufacturing cycles, their relationships, interdependencies and interference; linear and reticular work programming techniques.

The direction of the works
The planning of the work and the construction site, the drafting of technical documents and the keeping and control of the construction site documentation; the roles and relationships with the client and the contractor, the execution and verification of the works, the related responsibilities. Documentary obligations on the part of clients, companies and safety coordinators. Communication theories and techniques, oriented towards problem solving and cooperation
The reference regulatory framework
The basic legislation on safety and hygiene at work; the contractual regulations concerning the aspects of safety and health at work; the legislation on insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases.
European standards and their value, good practice standards, product directives.
The Consolidated Law on health and safety in the workplace with particular reference to Title I - COMMON PRINCIPLES (General provisions, institutional system, management of prevention in the workplace, criminal provisions) and to Title IV - TEMPORAL OR MOBILE CONSTRUCTION SITES ( Measures for health and safety in temporary or mobile construction sites, rules for the prevention of accidents at work in construction and work at height, sanctions).
