The program will allow students with no previous knowledge on the topic to reach the knowledge goals. No pre-requirement is therefore needed for the course, but integrative readings might be suggested.
The course will introduce students to the study of the basic concepts and methodologies of general psychology defined as scientific study of the mind and behavior At the end of the course students should be able to: - elaborate and integrate knowledge into the workings of the mind and behavior. - communicate in a clear and unambiguous way the acquired knowledge about basic mechanisms of human mind and behavior - deepen topics of interest in their own way
The course will examine the basic concepts of psychology and will provide a conceptual guide for the scientific approach to study of the mind and behavior to help students understanding the fundamental processes and questions of general psychology

The course is composed of 20 teaching hours divided according to the academic schedule. The lectures will take advantage of power point slides addressing the different theoretical aspects of the discipline integrated by practical examples.
