For Architectural Composition 3 the objectives are:
- to acquire the tools for the analysis of a territorial context also in relation to the infrastructural networks to identify the themes for the transformation and the conditions for the insertion of architectural artefacts;
- to experiment the path of defining an architectural-functional program for an architectural project in its technical and formal characteristics and in its relations with public spaces;
- to acquire the ability to give coherent form to the architectural-functional program for a building for public use, as well as the ability to control the scales of the project, in particular from the urban scale to that of the executive detail.
The following skills will also be assessed:
- KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Knowledge deriving from the study of the theoretical-practical tools of architectural design
Knowledge deriving from the design applied to the different scales and types of intervention
Ability to understand the relationships between an architectural project and one's physical and social context
Ability to manage the control of the entire architectural design process, from concept to executive project
- AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
The development of independent judgment will be encouraged through the elaboration of projects in which the student will be stimulated to develop his critical spirit, and to make decisions, both individually and in working groups, simulating the multidisciplinary operational modalities present in the professional activity. .
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS
The teaching activities are organized ensuring group work and interaction with the teacher and external guests. In fact, the model of the workshop is flanked by the model of the ex cathedra lesson, which foresees the active participation of the student in working groups and the possible external contribution of expert interlocutors. In addition, methods and techniques of digital representation and communication are adopted in the various teaching courses, enhancing the use of multimedia communication systems. Communication skills are also developed through cultural exchange opportunities through international mobility at affiliated foreign offices.
- ABILITY TO LEARN
The alternation of traditional training moments (frontal lessons) with moments dedicated to exercises, aimed at stimulating the learner's ability to self-organize, will contribute to the achievement of this objective. In particular, in the fifth year of the course, the planned activities are mainly oriented towards applied training experiences, including external internships, which accompany the student in the choice of the subject area in which to carry out the Laboratory for the preparation of the degree thesis.
