Objectives

he student during the vocational training course must:
• be able to develop critical and decision-making thinking consistent with the responsibility of general nursing care recognized by the profile;
• be able to acquire the knowledge, relational, educational and methodological skills to identify and satisfy the problems of low, medium and high complexity of the person, family and community.
• be able to develop skills in the field of intra and extra hospital teams;
• apply the nursing process in every context;
• know and be able to use the nursing care planning tools (guidelines based on evidence, protocols and procedures, clinical pathways);
• assist other students in the course of study at different stages of learning
• identify the problems of specific and collaborative competences in low, medium and high complexity situations;
• provide nursing, general, preventive, curative, palliative and rehabilitative assistance for health promotion, at all stages of life;
• implement technical and educational interventions;
• use the support staff appropriately;
• act in an integrated manner with other health and social professions;

Contents

The professionalizing internship of the 3rd year students is designed both to consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous two years and in the laboratory activity, as well as to know how to apply the process of individualized assistance based on evidence also in the specialized sectors, of critical area, in the ambulatory and territorial context.
It must guarantee the correct application of the diagnostic and therapeutic prescriptions, collaborate with the figures of the care team and make use, if necessary, of the support figures, acting in an integrated manner with the other health and social professions.
More simulation experiences are foreseen in nursing laboratories and internships in contexts in which the student can experience the knowledge and techniques learned.

Extended Syllabus

The student during the internship experience, scheduled in the 3rd year, consolidates and perfects the skills acquired in the previous two years.
The student must be able to plan, organize, plan, intervene and evaluate assistance in the following types of users:
in emergency
in the critical area
in the neurological environment
in the Operating Room:
in outpatient and territorial settings.

Teaching Methods

The internship experience is carried out in operational units, hospital services and in territorial structures. Students are supervised by nursing staff and supervised by nursing coordinators. The hours of training to be completed for the third year are 930.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

Examination consisting of an oral test that focuses on the display of care plans according to clinical cases and on the practical application of technical procedures on dummy. The overall evaluation takes into account the degree of achievement of the specific objectives for each U.O. or service attended during the training period.
The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths according to the following indicators and descriptors.
Indicators:
- Content for relevance and correctness
- Arguments for breadth, coherence and connections between the knowledge and the acquired practices
- Communication for expressive correctness and properties of scientific language.
Descriptors:
complete: 30 (the laudation is assigned when the student demonstrates to have acquired an excellent knowledge and dexterity, being able to link them in a logical and coherent way)

in-depth: 29-27
adequate with some gaps: 26-24
fully sufficient: 23-21
just enough: 20-18
