- Generally speaking, nursing language is a formal language based on semantic rules that differ from ordinary natural language (General English) in terms of vocabulary, morphology, syntax and semantics as well as other linguistic features. Writing and dafting in the scientific field implies not only knowledge of a special vocabulary but also competence in its use (linguistic collocations) in the medical/nursing context.
