Grammar contents:
• Phonetics and phonemes of the International Phonetic Alphabet
• Lexicon and Vocabulary
• Morphology and Syntax
• Articles and personal pronouns (tonic, subject and complement), partitive articles, adjectives and pronouns, pronouns en and y, conjugation of verbs (all verb tenses), impersonal verbs, difference between c’est/il est/il ya, prepositions and time phrases, the three gallicisms, the agreement of the past participle, adjectives and pronouns (possessive, demonstrative, relative, the complement pronouns COD and COI and tonics), the negative and interrogative form, the determiners, comparatives and superlatives, constructions with opinion verbs, speech articulators and logical connectors, the passive form, the complex sentence.

• Content practice or “progressive control” (some exercises will be carried out in order to monitor and ensure understanding of the contents covered during the lessons).
The grammatical section will be carried out in parallel with the discussion of topics related to the course of study in order to raise students’ awareness on the socio-cultural aspects of language and social work.
The cultural part of the course will be focused on reflection and understanding of the cultural and social context of France and the French-speaking countries in order to identify, analyse and understand current challenges.
The conceptual and introductory foundations of the following topics will be provided:
• Elements of French culture and society with particular reference to: the Francophonie, social policies and the Welfare State, the health system, the social work through the material provided by the teacher (online material).
