The course is designed to provide students with the tools for knowledge and understanding of the main cognitive neuroscience theories, as well as the main explanatory theories in the field of cognitive neuroscience, the historical dimension linking them, the points of contact and the differences. Furthermore, the course provides students with the tools for knowledge and understanding of the main research methods in cognitive neuroscience, the relationships between research methods and investigation techniques in cognitive neuroscience, and the importance of the correct use of observation and evaluation tools. Finally, the course aims at providing knowledge on applied cognitive neuroscience.
The student must be able to demonstrate applied knowledge of tools used in applied cognitive neuroscience; to know how to collect and analyse data in cognitive neuroscience. Finally, the student must have specialist knowledge of instruments aimed at detecting neural parameters in applied contexts.
