The Master's Degree Program in Philology, Linguistics and Literary Traditions aims to provide a solid linguistic, literary and historical culture by deepening the knowledge acquired with the three-year degree in two didactic paths: Modern Philology and Philology and Literature of the ancient world, corresponding respectively to classes LM 14 and LM 15. The main objective is to develop a methodologically in-depth awareness that leads to a highly qualified and versatile intellectual formation, developing in students skills that allow them to move easily in the multiple expressions of the classical world, that is, according to their choice of the modern and contemporary world. The two paths offer a wide variety of literary, philological, linguistic and historical teachings, often complementary to each other, which allow to acquire solid specialized knowledge and effective analysis tools. This training offer ensures adequate skills in the fields of communication and conservation of cultural heritage, classification and processing of information relating to the most varied fields of the working world, from school teaching to professions in publishing, cultural industry, in both public and private cultural institutions. It also favours the predisposition to scientific research, laying the foundations for accessing research doctorates as well as second-level Master degrees. Teaching activities include lectures, study seminars, assisted study, laboratories, training courses at public and private facilities, internships. The language of instruction is Italian but there are subjects taught in English and in French. You may also attend Cambridge certification courses. At the end of the course, graduates have a thorough theoretical and methodological preparation in the fields of philology, linguistics, literature and history; they possess the critical capacity to place themselves before the text, from the ascertainment of its constitution to its linguistic and semiotic aspects, to its interpretation and literary and historical evaluation.President of the CdS: Prof. Anna Enrichetta Soccio- email: enrichetta.soccio@unich.it
