CHARACTERISTICS AND PURPOSEThe two-year Master's Degree Program in Sciences and Techniques of Preventive Physical Adapted Activities offers an advanced preparation in the field of preventive physical adapted activities according to different conditions of physical deterioration and disability.The course, which continues the three-year Bachelor degree in Sports and Physical Activity Sciences, develops theories, methodologies and operational contents related to Biomedical Sciences and Physical Education Sciences. It offers graduates the necessary skills, wide decision-making powers and autonomy, promotes advanced cultural, methodological and technical-practical tools, necessary for:- designing and implementing Physical activity programs aimed at achieving, recovering and maintaining the best conditions of psycho-physical well-being of subjects in various age groups and in different physical conditions, with attention to gender specificities;- organizing and planning particular activities and lifestyles useful for the prevention of diseases and the improvement of the quality of life through physical exercise;- preventing postural defects and recovering the post-rehabilitative physical system aimed at maintaining physical efficiency;- planning, coordinating and evaluating physical activities adapted to people with disabilities or to individuals in clinically controlled and stabilized health conditions.All these skills will be achieved through the study of Physical, Sports, Biomedical, Psycho-pedagogical and Sociological disciplines. The contributions of these disciplines will offer the student an articulated cultural framework that allows him to interpret, with a multidisciplinary approach, both physical and health conditions of the subjects and the context in which the intervention must be placed.In addition to traditional teaching, the course includes 300 hours of training in external institutions and facilities connected to the University where the mentioned skills will be consolidated with direct experience in the professional field.WORKING AREASWith the acquisition of skills, graduates will reach a professional qualification aimed at designing, conducting and managing physical activities aimed at achieving and maintaining the optimal framework of physical efficiency and well-being; They will study physical activities aimed at general and specific prevention and overcoming diseases related to sedentariness and incorrect lifestyles within initiatives promoted by public bodies or private structures; They will study physical activities for the elderly in public institutions and private structures; They will study educational, recreational and sports activities adapted for disabled people at institutions and specialized bodies, including those operating in the private social sphere.The course also offers access to advanced training for Secondary school teachers.FROM A THREE-YEAR BACHELOR DEGREE TO A MASTER’S DEGREETo attend a Master’s degree it is necessary to have completed a Bachelor degree (three years) with a grade equal or higher than 95/110. For those who have obtained a score lower than 95/110, enrollment will be subject to passing a test consisting of a set of multiple-choice questions on the following subjecsts: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Biology and Physical Activity. This test will be held at the beginning of the academic year.
