Real numbers, limits, differential and integral calculus for functions of one variable, vectors and matrices.
Practical mastery and theoretical knowledge of differential and integral calculus for functions of several variables that enable students to directly face and understand some mathematical aspects of economic theories and to provide them with the basis for further insight of mathematical and statistical nature for the analysis of economic and financial processes.

The course consists of approximately 72 hours of lectures. A part of the lessons will be devoted to the solutions of problems and exercises assigned to the students to allow them to verify the practical and theoretical knowledge acquired and to prepare them for the written exam.
Written exam. The written exam aims at verifying both the acquisition of practical skills for the solution of problems and exercises and the mastery of the mathematical language related to the topics developed and the theoretical knowledge necessary for practical applications.
During the course, the office hours for students takes place with a timetable set at the beginning of the course. Alternatively students can have an appointment via e-mail: s.carpi@unich.it. https://sites.google.com/site/sebastianocarpi/. In the remaining periods, the office hours for students usually takes place on Thursday through appointment via e-mail. Further information on the course can be found in the teaching section of the website https://sites.google.com/site/sebastianocarpi/didattica.
