Differential and integral calculus for functions of one variable. Preparatory exam: Calculus.
Practical mastery and theoretical knowledge of differential and integral calculus for functions of several variables that enable students to directly face and understand some mathematical aspects of economic theories and to provide them with the basis for further mathematical insight in the analysis of economic and financial processes.
Differential and integral calculus for real functions of several real variables. Optimization problems.
Topology in the multi-dimensional Euclidean space. Limits and continuity of functions in several variables. Differential calculus for functions of several variables. Free and constrained optimization. Multiple integrals.

The course consists of 48 hours of lectures. Some of these 48 hours will be devoted to the solutions of exercises in order to allow the students to verify their acquired knowledge and to prepare for the written exam.
Written exam with short oral test, in order to verify the understanding of the exercises of the written test.
During the course, the student will have access to notes prepared by the teacher and available at https://sites.google.com/view/annavidotto/teaching The office hours for students will take place for two hours a week on a day established at the beginning of the course or by appointment by writing an email to anna.vidotto@unich.it.
