The course is divided into three modules, 3 CFU each: the institutional module (MI), reserved for all students, both those who have opted for the Philosophy course (L-5), and those who have opted for the course of Educational Sciences (L-19); the first thematic in-depth module (MAT1), specifically reserved for students who have opted for the Philosophy course (L-5); the second in-depth thematic module (MAT2), specifically reserved for students who have opted for the Educational Sciences course (L-19).
ME
Institutional module (3 CFU), reserved for all students, both those who have opted for the Philosophy course (L-5), and those who have opted for the Educational Sciences course (L-19).
Theme:
Philosophy of religion and interreligious dialogue in the perspective of a phenomenology of mystery
Program
The institutional module aims to provide a first introduction to the philosophy of religion. It will be divided into two teaching units.
In the first, an overall disciplinary profile of the discipline will be provided, with a particular reference to the object, contents, methods, objectives and historical genesis of it. In this context, the issue of interreligious dialogue will be addressed and a specific model of dialogue methodology will be proposed between interlocutors belonging to different cultural and / or religious horizons.
In the second didactic unit the salient lines of a speculative proposal called: "phenomenology of mystery" will be proposed. It explains the broader theoretical framework within which the understanding of the Philosophy of religion which was presented in the first teaching unit of the Module is contextualized.
MAT1
Thematic in-depth module 1 (3 CFU), dedicated specifically to students who have opted for the Philosophy course (L-5).
Theme:
The philosophical-religious proposal of Bernhard Welte (1906-1983)
Program:
The module is divided into two teaching units. The first will present an overall reconstruction of the biographical-intellectual itinerary, of the figure and work of the thinker, against the broader background of the historical context in which he lived and worked.
Then, in the second didactic unit, we will pass to an analytical reading, with explanation and comment, of "Religionsphilosophie" (1978), the work in which the thinker summarized in a more systematic and complete way the fundamental lines of his philosophical reflection on religion.
MAT2
Thematic in-depth module 2 (3 CFU), specifically dedicated to students who have opted for the Education Sciences course (L-19).
Theme:
Conflict and dialogue between religions and civilizations in today's globalized cultural universe.
Program:
The module, also divided into two teaching units, aims to compare the singular geo-political meditation of two intellectuals profoundly different in cultural formation and in areas of specialization, lived in two different phases of our contemporary age.
In the first unit, in fact, the reflection on universal history that was elaborated by the Jewish-German thinker F. Rosenzweig (1886-1929) during the years of the First World War will be examined. The reflection in question succeeds in capturing, with certain forerunner intuition, the first traits of that overall phenomenon of globalization that will be developing and accentuating progressively throughout the entire course of the twentieth century, and up to the present day.
In the second teaching unit, the reflection of the political scientist S. Ph. Huntington (1927-2008) on the new world order that is determined by the end of the so-called "Cold War" starting from the early nineties of the last century will be presented.
In the context of the meditation of both authors, the theme "religion" undoubtedly plays a leading role.
