The module contributes to the fulfillment of the educational goals of the Economics and Behavioral Sciences Degree, by providing the knowledge and the competences which characterize the cognitive neuroscience discipline applied to the different professional profiles, with particular emphasis to decisional processes and to the necessary methods for understanding brain-behavior relationship.
At the end of the class, the student will have to demonstrate the acquisition of:
1) knowledge and understanding of the theoretical and methodological bases of the discipline, that is the neural mechanisms underlying the cognitive functions;
2) knowledge and understanding of the most employed experimental protocols in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience field;
3) ability to assemble and integrate the knowledge and to handle the complexity about brain-cognition relationship;
4) ability to report, interpret and discuss original research findings to expert and naïve audience, in a clear way and through disciplinary lexicon;
5) ability to analyze topics of interest in critical and autonomous way.
