In the first part, the module will analyze the evolution of traditional forms of social control (formal and informal), which occurred following the globalization process. The issues related to the concept of risk, the feeling of insecurity and the fear of crime will therefore be addressed, with particular reference to the harmful consequences that can occur within contemporary societies. Later, the module will focus on the factors that affect individuals' insecurities, with particular reference to deviant and criminal phenomena. Finally, we will proceed with a survey of the strategies that can be followed by the actors appointed to counter the genesis of fears and insecurities, and in particular a comparison between order policies and preventive strategies.
