Written exam including 9 questions. The first question is always a manual computation of a logarithm. This question is penalizing for the final score by three points. On the contrary an exact answer does not increase the final score. The other questions concern both theoretical and applied topics. The lenght of the exam is 1 hour and 10 minutes. The questions are aimed at ascertaining the logical-deductive reasoning and calculation skills developed by the student. The test is considered sufficient (18/30) if the student completely answers 4 questions and performs correctly the computation of the logarithm. Each additional complete answer gives 3 points more to the final score. 30 with honors is awarded if all the answers are correct and at leasts one is particularly elegant. All intermediate cases follow quite naturally.
During the course, if the general conditions allow it and the teacher deems it appropriate (frequent attendance at lessons, active participation in lessons by 80% of the class, involvement of students on the blackboard), number 2 or 3 could take place written exercises in class (depending on the results of the admission test), each corresponding to half or a third of the program carried out, carried out in the same way as the written exam described above, the passing of which is considered as exemption from the same. In this case the final mark will be calculated as the arithmetic mean of the 2 or 3 exercises. The final mark represents the average of the marks of the individual partials, provided that all are sufficient.
