The course attempts to examine in detail the epistemological and methodological issues related to empirical research in education. In particular, it aims to facilitate the acquisition of skills useful in identifying and analysing research in the educational field in order to understand scientific advances in the field. Students at the end of the modules B will be able to: - know the national school evaluation system in Italy (INVALSI); - learn about school self-evaluation tools;
The Experimental Pedagogy course includes two modules: Module A (Experimental Pedagogy 1 - 6 CFU) and Module B (Experimental Pedagogy 2 - 3 CFU). Module B aims to investigate the methods and tools for evaluating educational systems with particular focus on the National Evaluation System of Italian schools.

The course will be organised in 24 hours of face-to-face lectures, some of which will include practical exercises and activities of an operational and participatory nature, exercises, analysis of good practices, planning, seminars.
Oral examination and/or written test and a project work.
