Course program
Moments and themes of historiography between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in view of the formation and evolution of the new state realities
The course aims to deepen some significant moments and themes of historiography between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, such as the political, economic and social evolution that will lead to the birth and formation of national states, together with the search for a new state identity. Particular attention will be paid to the problems of imperialism, nationalism and the conflicts that will be generated by the latter, as well as to the more specific analysis relating to the formation of a more direct political participation and the antagonisms caused by changing national events.
