Main acquired knowledge. The course aims to illustrate to students the discipline of prevention measures and to place it in relation to that of other restrictive measures of personal freedom on the basis of the social dangerousness of the person concerned. Constant attention will be paid to the relationship between the legislation in depth and the constitutional and European referents, in order to keep a firm eye on the guarantees reserved for those who are limited in their personal sphere without having committed a crime and on the only assumption that it is dangerous for the society.
Main skills acquired: ability to reflect on the concept of "social dangerousness" and the way in which such an evanescent notion can impact the existence of an individual subjected to the preventive measure. This ability will allow the student, by now at the end of their studies, to acquire a critical learning method that can certainly be used in the world of work. To this end, the Chair will organize workshops and in-depth seminars.
