Mobilisation, hygiene and self-care. The student will be able to indicate and explain the activities relating to assistance with reference to the "Gordon" functional model. You will have tried and repeated the relevant activities in simulation: Change of linen and tidying up of the occupied bed Mobilization and positioning of the patient inside the bed, positions that facilitate breathing Patient transfer: bed, transport equipment; importance of physical activity with respect to rehabilitation and prevention Partial and total body hygiene: bed bath, face, oral cavity care, hands, feet, genito-perineal hygiene Change of clothing and mobilization in the presence of a patient with medical and surgical equipment. Recognize and detect the factors influencing the need for hygiene; Ensure partial and total hygiene of the person: hand washing, eye hygiene, ear hygiene, oral hygiene, intimate hygiene, shower, bath, bed bath, foot care, hair washing; Empty and occupied bed making; Preparation of the operating bed; Assist the person during hygiene treatments and help them change personal linen according to the person's level of dependence;
NEED FOR SAFETY Recognize and detect the factors influencing the need for safety; Ensure privacy; Implement risk prevention activities of a physical, chemical and mechanical nature; Prevent hospital infections through cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of healthcare facilities; Wear and remove personal protective equipment; Put on and remove sterile gloves; Perform hand washing (social, antiseptic, surgical and alcoholic rub); Know the correct use of the type of glove during healthcare activities; Dispose of waste correctly- NEED TO MOVE AND MAINTAIN THE ADEQUATE POSITION Recognize and detect the factors influencing the need to move and maintain an adequate position; Assist the person in walking with the aid of any aids; Know and be able to position the person in: supine, prone, lateral decubitus, Sims, trendelemburg and antitrendelemburg, fowler and semi-fowler, lithotomy, genupectoral; Knowing how to prevent the complications of bed rest through the mobilization of the passive and active person; Transfer of the person from the bed to the wheelchair and vice versa; Assist the person during transportation. ASSESSMENT OF VITAL PARAMETERS Recognize and detect the factors influencing the need to maintain normal temperature, heart rate and blood pressure; Detect body temperature in various locations; Detect heart rate by palpating peripheral pulses; Detect blood pressure; Assist the person with temperature rise; fever lysis, crisis Assist the person with hypotensive hypertensive crisis, with bradycardia and tachycardia. NEED FOR COMMUNICATION Recognize and detect the factors that influence the need to communicate; Participate in welcoming the person in the different care settings by planning the times and spaces to encourage and facilitate communication; Listen, inform, respect the principle of confidentiality in the use of the person's data; Use verbal and para-verbal language based on the person's psycho-physical conditions;
NEED FOR REST AND SLEEP Recognize and detect the factors influencing the need for sleep and rest; Prepare an environment suitable for promoting sleep by controlling the noise and lighting of the room. NEED FOR PHARMACOLOGICAL TREATMENTS Know the procedure for requesting drugs; the storage of medicines; preparation of therapy; Know the methods of drug administration (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal and intravenous); Know how to administer therapy orally, subcutaneously (insulin therapy and low molecular weight heparin); Know how to perform capillary sampling for glycemic monitoring; Know how to apply topical drugs; Ocular instillations; applications of ovules and vaginal sticks; application of rectal suppositories; Know how to identify adverse events related to drug administration. MAINTAIN SKIN INTEGRITY AND WOUND HEALING Know how to use scales for assessing pain, risk of pressure injury and risk of falling; Collaborate in the execution and carry out a simple dressing (including compression injuries); Know the scientific principles of sterility and apply them in the preparation of a sterile field.
