- understand the history of nursing as a path of the professionalization process and as an evolutionary moment of healthcare thinking
- Identify the main currents of thought in the nursing discipline and be able to identify the fundamental concepts of some nursing theories

- apply theoretical constructs in the clinical setting
- define nursing as a discipline and identify the foundations of the nursing discipline, as elements necessary for the provision of nursing care

- Decide on appropriate care interventions that take into account geographical, economic, ethical and social influences
Communication skills
- use appropriate communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written) with users of all ages and with their families within the care process and/or with other healthcare professionals,
