As part of the BA programme, this course aims to improve the students’ language skills, focusing on grammar structures, functions and vocabulary consistent with the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference. Students are expected to develop their ability to understand relatively simple texts (mainly though not exclusively written texts) of different kinds, concerning familiar topics and everyday life, and in particular, to understand the main ideas of texts related to their field of study.
