The course is structured into two parts: the first one is related to the epistemology of special pedagogy, as a science that focuses its attention and reflections on educational issues related to children, young people and adults who have particular problems. The focus is on people with disabilities, with different serious disorders, with marginal life situations and who are unable to adapt to the conventional canons of civil cohabitation, with special educational needs. Such situations are more and more widespread but they can be transformed and improved if people are supported by capable and competent educational interventions. Operational and planning indications will also be given to undertake such educational actions, with practical exercises and simulations of scenarios in different contexts.
The second part will mainly focus on the school world and on subjects with special educational needs, in order to structure paths for a real inclusive didactics involving teachers, families, operators and all those who collaborate in the development and growth of children and adolescents. The ministerial documents accompanying the BES pathways will be examined and exercises on the structuring of curricula, learning units, inclusive and personalized evaluation pathways will be proposed.
