The course aims to provide students with the tools to study the fundamental concepts that characterize Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Selected classes of drugs that interact with receptors, enzymes and ion channels will be examined, and the mechanisms of action and the chemical-pharmaceutical properties will be investigated. In this way the student will acquire the necessary skills to understand the problems related to the design, the mechanism of action at the molecular level, the drug-receptor interactions and the structure-activity relationships of the classes of drugs examined and not covered in the programs of the other disciplines in the sector.
