The exam can be taken only after having passed and recorded Psychobiology I.

Objectives

The course aims at providing basic knowledge and competences about research and critical reading of experimental works in the field of psychobiology.

Contents

Practical guided activity in the field of psychobiology.

Extended Syllabus

Main experimental techniques in cognitive neuroscience. Neuroimaging techniques (e.g. fMRI) and techniques of non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS).In-depth study of some topics of the main course (Psychobiology 2) through the analysis of scientific articles.

Recommended Bibliography

Slides of the lessons and two scientific articles, available from the beginning of each academic year.

Teaching Methods

The course contents are presented through lessons in lecture hall, taking advantage of power point slides (made available to the students) and practice group experiences at the Laboratory of Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The examination is written and made up of 10 multiple-choice questions.
