EDUCATIONAL TARGETS
The teaching, in line with the educational aspects of the course of study, aims to provide a critical preparation, both theoretically and with reference to concrete cases, presenting the Digital Economy and Innovation systematically, also integrating it in times recent in particular in the Theory of Networks and complex systems. The reality of the importance of political independence and risk is central to the economic and legal disciplines of the course of study. In particular, the historical analysis of the evolution of the economic systems and of the innovations that gave birth to the digital economy phenomenon is a future trajectory of the socio-economic systems.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
Knowledge
The student will learn the fundamental tools to operate as a consultant and economic programmer in a local and national context, in public companies or private companies, by understanding the determinants of the processes of generating new technological knowledge and introducing innovations and their consequences from the point of view of the economic analysis, in particular in the era of the digital economy. The student will also have to know the aspects related to the analysis of economic growth and the factors that explain it through innovative processes in general and the digital economy in particular, knowing how to integrate them with conceptual and mathematical analysis tools linked to the principles of knowledge networks.
Ability to apply knowledge
The acquired knowledge can be applied in the investment sector, in public and private companies, business consortia, business and social associations, research organizations, government institutions (local, national and international), development agencies for:
- elaborate data relating to the economic and social impacts deriving from innovation;
- carry out cost-benefit analyzes based on broader qualitative and quantitative assessment tools for both private and public investments;
Autonomy of judgment
At the end of the course the student will:
- to know how to evaluate the opportunity of public interventions aimed at supporting the sustainable growth dynamics activated by R&D activities;
- knowing how to decide which public incentives can define trajectories of balanced and lasting development and the possible returns, both tangible and intangible;
Communication skills
At the end of the course the student will:
- know how to inform stakeholders and collaborators on the implications of their analysis on the expected results of the activities in which they participate;
- know how to collaborate in order to carry out projects and activities respecting the diversity of the work group;
Ability to learn
At the end of the course the student will:
- be able to autonomously learn the general principles of the digital economy knowing how to evaluate the limits and new prospects eventually introduced by the potential innovations related to it.
