Educational objectives:
The teaching contributes to the achievement of the educational objectives of the Degree Course especially with reference to the aim of acquiring a deep knowledge of the sociological culture and the methodology of social research in order to achieve an adequate understanding of the phenomena of deviance and crime in the respective manifestations and evolutions. It also contributes to achieving the objective of providing knowledge and skills applicable to the monitoring of deviance and crime in view of the development of law enforcement strategies for the development of social security.
At the end of the course students will be able to recognize the manifestations of deviance and crime, the social dynamics of the territory and their impact on social security for the design of prevention and intervention strategies for social security. They will also be able to plan political-social interventions, safety management, prevention and reduction of social unease, management of policies aimed at tackling the phenomenon of deviance and crime, in particular with reference to both perpetrators and victims of crime.
