The course, of medical informatics, aims to provide a general introduction to information technology and to provide also the methodological and practical tools for the development of multimedia applications. The course is divided into two parts: a first general part for the introduction of fundamental concepts and for the creation of a basic knowledge on the principles of information technology; a second one, which involves the testing of application programs for word processing, creation of presentations, spreadsheets, data archiving,
surfing the Internet, and is not intended for software programming and production. The general objective is that all students are substantially autonomous in the use of these tools for their study activities and who also have an overview of existing and upcoming applications in the profession and in medical research.
