CHIEF AIMS
The course aims to present the historical development of architecture and urban planning of the contemporary age, especially in the light of the relationship with the problems of today's society.
Secondly, to deepen specific architectural themes of recent decades (the design of university residences, design guidelines for the type of tall building or skyscraper; shape and identity of the urban texture; architecture and environmental sustainability)

PREREQUISITES
The course is aimed at students enrolled in the single-disciplinary course

TEACHING METHODS
The course will take place through ex-cathedra lessons and on-site lessons

METHOD OF VERIFICATION OF LEARNING
The examination is individual

CONTENTS
1) Historical development, outcomes and problems of contemporary architecture
2) Themes of contemporary architecture:
a) the project of the university residences
b) development of the type of tall building (or skyscraper)
c) shape and identity of the urban texture
d) architecture and environmental sustainability
