AIM:
The biochemistry module is aimed at learning the main metabolic processes (catabolism and anabolism) of the cell with references also to the metabolic processes of the oral cavity. This knowledge is a prerequisite for the learning of physiology as well as for the understanding of the pathologies that will be addressed in the following courses.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES: The student must demonstrate that he has learned the basics of cell and tissue metabolism. It must also be able to use this knowledge in a manner appropriate to the professional needs of a graduate in dentistry. The knowledge acquired must provide the student with the ability to take subsequent courses in physiology and pathology. The module of Biochemistry must contribute to provide solid critical skills in front of much of the problems, pathological and not, inherent in the profession of dentist
