In the "Architecture Design Area" are included those disciplines related to the SSD ICAR 17 Design. In the organization disciplinary of the Degree in Architecture they are distributed in the first three years to converge to the 5th year in the "Progetto conservation and representation "(20 cfu).
The course in the epigraph consists of the integration of two modules: Geometry Descriptive, and Digital Design.
The first module is the foundation of the disciplines of the graphic-visual representation, and is basic for all the others in which the drawing is an expressive and communicative means of visual thought in Architecture. His study offers the tools, procedures and methods of the representation both to develop the project from scratch, and for the knowledge and documentation of the existing one.
The second module introduces the student to digital representation, through the use of software dedicated to technical drawing, modeling, to photo editing and visual representation.
Descriptive Geometry
This module is the core of the whole course, so it comes carried out in eight hours per week dedicated to the theoretical aspects of Geometry Projective. The study of scientific principles and methods will allow the students to appropriate geometric models and to manage them in areas where the representation of the architectural space is required is real that's ideal. The Descriptive Geometry is for the architect the indispensable medium to understand existing space and to visualize ideas developing analog and digital representations.
_ Summary of the arguments
1) Elements of the technical design (conventional signs, scales of the representation)
2) Geometric entities and fundamental operations (construction figures elementary)
3) The model of cylindrical projections: double orthogonal projections (even with inclined planes)
4) The model of the cylindrical projections: the axonometries (orthogonal and oblique)
5) The model of the conical projections: the perspectives (front and corner)
6) The theory of shadows (in D.P.O., Axonometry, Perspective)
7) The digital design of simple architectures.
The aforementioned topics will be applied by the students in the classroom on exercises that, together with those to be developed at home weekly (a table for each topic), will be organized in a personal portfolio e delivered to the exam in paper format A3 and on digital support. To conclusion of the lessons of each of the three models the students will be called to verify what was assumed, through type exercises graph-theoretical, bearing in mind that the respective evaluations support the final interview. Furthermore, three tables will be presented for the examination focus on the three models applied to an architectural building contemporary, agreed with the teacher. Revisions will be available for the successful completion of the examination weekly works and clarifications on the theoretical parts. The contact between lecturer and learner, as well as by e-mail, also takes place through the University website:

and platform Microsoft Teams
The digital drawing module introduces the student to the representation info-graphics, through the use of software dedicated to technical drawing, to modeling, photo editing and visual representation. This form it will be developed on a theoretical and practical level to allow a more current one graphic-visual communication of the representation of architecture, al order to facilitate the understanding of the spatial aspects of construction.

Examination procedure
The final interview is the synthesis of the theoretical and practical preparation matured by the student in the Course of Descriptive Geometry 1A. Remember to students who must present all the aforementioned interview processed products in every area and moment of the Course, on which it will be based the comparison.
