The course is divided in two parts. The first part will focus on authors, genres, movements and texts of Italian literature from its origins up to the turning point between the 19th and 20th centuries. The second part will focus about Italian Reinassance poet and philologist Pietro Bembo.
For the first part:
An authoritative reading list concerning the history of literature; it is possible to study on the same book / books bought during the high school courses.
Recommended editions of Dante’s “Commedia”: Pasquini-Quaglio, Milano, Garzanti, 1982-86; G. Inglese, Roma, Carocci, 2007.
For the second part of the course:
A. Sorella, I segreti della “Mandragola”, Firenze, Cesati, 2022 (availablre at the end of November).
