Prerequisites:

Understanding of the physiology of human skin and of the biochemical mechanisms underlying the functioning of the skin tissue. Organic and physical chemistry.

Objectives

This theoretical course aims to provide the student with the notions
fundamentals on the main categories of cosmetic products, on
raw materials used for their preparation and on the evaluation aspects
and legislation that characterize and regulate both production and
marketing of the cosmetic.

European and national legislation in the cosmetic field.
Cosmetic raw materials.
Cosmetic formulations.
Products for the care of the skin and skin annexes.
Clinical evaluation of cosmetic activity.

European and national legislation in the cosmetic field.
Cosmetic raw materials of natural, mineral and synthetic origin.
Cosmetic formulations: solid, liquid, semi-solid, dispersions.
Products for the care of the skin and skin appendages: products for cleansing, for the care of the skin and mucous membranes. Perfumes and allergens.
Clinical evaluation of the cosmetic activity.

Verification of learning:
