The degree course aims to enhance the study of the sociological perspective and globalization processes, with particular attention to the following issues:- the evolution of criminal phenomena and intervention strategies;- the plans about prevention strategies and promotion plans for the safety of societies.In order to achieve this aim, the main areas of interest include: a) the study of the theoretical and epistemological foundations of sociology, criminology and social research; b) the analysis of more specifically applicative areas concerning communication, the redefinition of relations with the territory in general and with the urban environment in particular; c) the definition of social policies, risk prevention and protection strategies for victims of crime;d) the study of public law and penitentiary law, in particular the rights of prisoners and the way in which the sentence of imprisonment is carried out.
